Content management systems

A Content Management System (CMS) enables you to add and edit the content of your website easily and efficiently. Thus eliminating many web maintenance costs.

This differs to the traditional ‘static’ website that relies on web programming knowledge to make changes to your website. The Webheads Web Content Management (WWCM) is designed to give you control over large or complex websites.

Sounds simple?

That’s because WWCM gives you the ability to create and edit web pages whilst maintaining their structure, content and branding. Our CMS is developed to make content management accessible to non-technical users. It provides you with the tools to manage multiple content contributors and administrators across your organisation. The core features of the content management system provide the flexibility to create the right websites for your needs.  Additional plug-in modules enable you to develop your site as your requirements grow.

Highlights include:

Scalability – CMS can be extended

Multilingual Support – CMS supports independent versions of content for different languages as well as different language versions for the back-end

Access Control – CMS supports restricting access to the content to some user groups

Templating – Smarty based template system supports unique, non-template looking graphic design

Integration – CMS can be integrated with other web software solutions

Search Engine Friendliness – CMS fully supports SEF Links and SEF Content

Easy-to-Use Backend  – Tree-based categories structure, WYSIWYG editor, JavaScript navigation

The CMS admin interface is browser based, which means that content can be contributed, edited and managed by any authorised user, anywhere. This mechanism allows local editors, external agencies and outworkers to work in complete collaboration, irrelevant of their physical location.

Diverse types of content can be seamlessly handled, such as HTML, Flash, Microsoft® Office Documents, XML, PDF’s, Quicktime, Windows Media Video, Bespoke Applications etc.

There is no limit to the number of sites or number of pages that can be contained and managed within the system, or to the variety of delivery channels through which content can be fed.
