When designing a custom website for a photography business, it is quite obvious that imagery will be at the forefront. But we here at Webheads go beyond the basic – ensuring that our clients receive an online web presence that is turbocharged at every touchpoint (and is not just a box ticking exercise). Here is how we completed this for Venture Photography, complete with WooCommerce integration to make sales online too.

Both on desktop and mobile views, we implemented an image slider to instantly showcase the brand’s work – highlighting photography of children, pets and more. This makes for an instant emotional connection and as we laid call-to-action (CTA) text over these images, it served as a way to give website visitors a direct connection to the availability of the brand. The menu was designed to be simplistic and uncomplicated, with six options such as ‘Your Experience’ and ‘Our Studios’. As a global brand, beside this menu is the option to change the country from UK to USA or Hong Kong (updating the website language to Mandarin, making this a multi-language site).

The magic of the design unfolds further when visitors click / tap on the ‘Buy Now’ button. This brings them to the online shop where they can purchase frames, wall art, photography packages and more. We embellished the bottom of this page with client testimonials which works as a natural flow between discovering what is on offer and then digesting some social proof as to why Venture Photography is the brand to choose. Always keeping client card and privacy details in keen focus, the eCommerce element of the website was bolstered with both Paypal and Stripe payment gateways.

We really enjoyed bringing this custom website to life for Venture Photography and the client was grateful not only for their bespoke and turbocharged web presence, but also due to the fact that the project was delivered both on time and on budget.
