Echoing the feeling of the vast open ocean, the home page of the website was emblazoned with an image of a pristine yacht cruising along the most perfectly blue of waters. The main menu navigation (located in the header) was kept lean and simple – containing the tabs ‘Yachts for Sale’, ‘Yachts for Charter’, ‘Who We Are’ and ‘Contact Us’. This led website visitors to the information they needed and wanted without any unnecessary distractions or detours. In particular with the ‘Yachts for Sale’ page, we made sure that the preview for each yacht on this page showcased all of the crucial information at a glance. It showed a high definition image of each yacht with details including length, location, guest cabins, max speed and build year. A ‘Learn More’ button was placed alongside this information for seamless navigation for interested parties.

As a yacht is a luxurious high-ticket item to purchase, we felt it important that the faces behind the scenes of Idea Yachting were showcased in some way. We find the likes of ‘Meet the Team’ and ‘Who We Are’ pages etc. are imperative to show the people who will be helping you to make this purchase go as smoothly as possible, as well as helping to ‘break the ice’ so to speak between the content viewed on a screen before transitioning into dealing with the personnel from a business in real life. Therefore the ‘Who We Are’ page for Idea Yachting featured a headshot of each team member, text explaining their role inside the brand, their history with the industry and contact information.
