Hailed as the “Cheapest Sleep in W1”, Webheads are really proud to be working with such an innovative and commendable brand: the hotel’s profits go towards tackling homelessness in London.
The simplicity and ease of use for the SoHostel site (www.sohostel.co.uk) is the key to its success. Rich in images, it reflects the bright, contemporary decor of the hotel itself. The hotel has used easily translatable content to appeal to overseas customers.
Webheads made sure to bring together the hotel’s brand and web design to produce a funky, but easy to use website. Navigation is intuitive and straightforward. The landing page features people of the potential demographic for the hotel – although with the location, prices on offer and the facilities available, they’ll doubtless attract more than just backpackers!
SoHostel have full control of content through the CMS system, meaning they can update prices, information and events. Online bookings are made through the third party Almeria booking system. The hotel and Webheads are running a PPC (Pay by click) Google AdWords campaign to kick start bookings. This will increase traffic to the site in a quick, insightful and cost effective way.
The hotel boasts an unbeatable location in SoHo, on Dean Street. It is just minutes away from Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. Single, double and dorm rooms are priced from just £25 per person per night. Special features of the hotel include free Wi-Fi, onsite bar, lounge and a pamper room which boasts hairdryers and Hollywood-style mirrors.
In addition, profits from the hotel will be going towards a great cause – the Arlington Futures Charity, which tackles homelessness in London. So not only will customers be getting a bed for the night, they will be helping someone else to escape sleeping on the streets.
Webheads CEO JM Littman said of the assignment, “It’s great to be involved in such a great project. We try and make time to work on as many not for profit and charity sites and we always work at our reduced rate.”
Webheads went the extra mile on this project and didn’t just carry out the usual SEO and online PR assistance to promote the launch of the website. They managed to secure media coverage on MailOnline (193million monthly unique users) and fastest growing UK newspaper website, The Metro. This is money-can’t-buy promotion and both articles contain direct links to the site. Bookings are soaring and the hotel is fully booked for New Year’s Eve, just four days after opening.
