Focus on Font in Custom Website Design

Custom website design allows you to customise each and every design element of your business website. The Webheads team work to your bespoke ideas and inspirations to bring your dream website to life. With this, no two custom website designs are the same – our websites are built on a case-by-case basis. Here we focus on fonts and logos and how they can be utilised within custom website designs to add that final touch of finesse to your business website.

The Little Miss London website sells a range of beautiful scented candles which are inspired from famous London locations such as Camden and Chelsea. The website makes clever use of the font used in the Little Miss Logo London. Rendered in a loose and expressive style, it is reminiscent of handwriting and this makes a personal link with the website visitor. The initials of ‘L’, ‘M’ and ‘L’ are assembled above the logo to form a crown in a clever (and crowning) design motif. This is a great example of font use that adds to the feel of a website in tandem with the personality of the brand.

The Cyclism website relays a wealth of information in relation to cycling coaching, events and testing. The font used in their logo is both slick and curved and it is no coincidence that these words could also be used to describe bicycles themselves. Indeed the capital ‘C’ of the Cyclism logo subtly mimics that of a bicycle tyre by featuring an axle and wheel motif. Thus the very font and design used is a cohesive fit to what Cyclism is all about, albeit being alluded to in a subtle and smart manner. This is a great addition to their branding and works to add that final stamp of design across their custom website.

Delta Force Paintball also make great use of their logo font to convey their brand offering. The rugged edges of their yellow font are completed by the letter ‘O’ in Force being replaced with a picture of a target. This lets those who see it know that Delta Force has a connection to battle and precision. As an operator of many different types of paintball games across the UK and Ireland, their font and logo works exceptionally well to covey this message. The use of yellow as the colour of the font is a bright and attention grabbing colour which makes reference to the high octane nature of paintballing.

As you can see from the examples above, the use of a custom font and logo design can elevate your custom website that bit more. They are also great elements to use on both your online and offline branding to cultivate a strong and cohesive brand image. With custom website design by Webheads, we make sure to pay attention to each and every detail to make sure that your website is the best that it can be.
