The British Siberian Husky Page

This is only a small page in the bigger book of Siberian Huskies on the net. This page is dedicated for dogs within the UK. I will be adding new pictures regularly, but at least this is a start !!
We (Sarah and J-M, being me) have a small kennel over here in the UK. We do actually race, despite the lack of snow and use rigs to race with. In previous years we've done pretty good, winning the British Championships in 93 & 94. I have also raced in the World Championships and finished 11th in 94 in the 6 dog class. I guess there must be around 150-200 teams who compete during the season with maybe 50-75 teams who compete on a regular basis. The sport has really developed in recent years and top teams are now averaging 18-20 mph at sprint races. Enough yacking, if you're interested and want to know more mail us !

Me breaking trail at Birmingham Football Club's Ground !! ( It was a Coca Cola promo shot ).

Mike Bradbury, current UK 6 dog champion, on the trail in Glenisla, Scotland.

A nice arty shot of a couple of dogs of ours, Numen on the right, Shermann in the middle and Jaxom in the background.

Shermann again after winning a race a few years ago. Shermann was one of my leaders, but I have my doubts if he's going to make the pace this year up front. Sorry Shermann !!! and the one with the long hair is me !!!

Mike Bradbury at Glenisla again, with a couple of Zero dogs running up front

Jaxom - Who suffered a slipped disc last summer (95) and we were told that he would never run again. No one told him though and through some intensive physio and laser treatment he's made a full recovery. A great gee/haw leader This is the dog who will give you his gee paw and then his haw paw when asked, great photo opportunity at the start of races !!! Tragically we lost Jaxom in March 97 to a complication with a prostate condition ( the vets **** up ).

An early morning training run with Jaxom and Shermann a blur of excitement !!!
